INSTRUCTORS

Frank Mateo: Professor 8th degree red & black trim belt under GM Gerry Scott (Hawaii). He has trained in the KAA of Kajukenbo 5th degree Black & Red trim belt with Professor Brian Baxter, Tracy’s Kenpo-Jerry Samuelson, CHA 3 Kenpo under retired Associate Professor & Co Founder Frank Suan, Judo-Bob Nishii, Boxing-Palolo gym, & Muay Thai in Don Muang, Thailand. Professor lived in Thailand for a year. He is a certified teacher in the state of Washington and is nationally certified as a strength & conditioning coach (University of Hawaii, Kamehameha Schools, O’Dea High School). Professor Frank Mateo, a former baseball all star player in Hawaii was selected baseball coach of the year; North Seattle Baseball Association 2005. That year they defeated the unbeaten team for the championsip. Professor's fight team has a winning record as well, always a winner never a sinner, believe in the higher power: tournament 25-4, Muay Thai 13-5-1. He has trained military personal combat fighting and served in the Armed Forces, a Veteran of a Foreign War (VFW). He has trained Secret Service agents, Seattle Policeman, King County Sheriff, besides athletes (professional and amateur) and the average person. A personal trainer experiences: Nautilus Fitness Center in Honolulu, Seattle Athletic Club, Mieko’s Fitness, & his facility.

Brian Baxter: Professor 8th degree Kajukenbo, 3rd degree Tracy's Kenpo, 1st degree Aiki Jitsu. Brian Baxter has many skills and experiences. He has studied and trained in other forms of martial arts including pressure points.

Sifu Wade Yamauchi is a 6th degree black belt instructor and studied with Professor Mateo for 11 years. He holds a black belt in Okinawan Goju-ryu and also trained in Aikido. He has studied martial arts for over 25 years.

Sibak Tom Skoog acquired his 1st degree black belt after 8 yrs with Mateo Kajukenbo since 2003. He also started training with our Ali'i Warriors Fight Club

Farshad Forouhar- Kicking Instructor, Kung  Fu Toa & Muay Thai under Master Mehrdad-Persian Warrior.

Sifu Nate Garner is a 3rd degree black belt who started with Professor Mateo since 1996. He was the first Black Belt of Professor Mateo. He has studied other styles of martial arts and is presently living in Colorado with his lovely wife. They have a massage business together.

Sifu Sheila Feay-Shaw is a 3rd degree black belt forms instructor. She has been with Professor Mateo for 5 years. She is our forms/kata champion. Presently, she has moved to Wisconsin to teach at a University.

Sibak Avon Richard Hines holds a 2nd degree black belt and has trained off & on since 2001 in Kajukenbo. He also trained Pray Mantis, 3rd degree Tang Soo Doo and Wun Hop Kuen Do. Kumite & Forms Champion.

Sibak Steven Haftfield has trained with Professor Mateo since 2002 and was promoted to 1st black in 2011. He formally trained with Professor A. Reyes in California for 2 years. A professor at the University of Minnesota, Steven, as a scientist, has produce Chinese herbs for our healing needs.

GREG FOLLACA 185LB LEVEL II INSTRUCTOR DIVISION 2 FIGHTER. Greg has trained with Professor Mateo in Kajukenbo when he was 12yrs old. After several years of training, Greg decided to play football and was injured. Recovering from his injury, Greg rejoined Mateo Kajukenbo and trained full time in
Muay Thai. A few more fights will enable Greg for a title bout at 185.

MIKE KIM 170LB LEVEL II INSTRUCTOR DIVISION 2 FIGHTER. Mike has join our Ali'i Warriors Fight Club as a matter of convenience in 2011. He trained with Houston's United Combat Sports in Bellingham while attending the University of Washington. Upon graduation and landing a security job in Seattle, Mike won his first bout at Ax Championship in November 2011 as an Ali'i Warrior. With his success and experience, thanks to Cody Houston,  he was promoted to level 2 instructor. He will be fighting for a title bout on March 31, 2012 at Ali'i Warriors Fight Night 6.

COLLIN SMALL 170LB LEVEL II INSTRUCTOR & CORNER 1 DIVISION 2 FIGHTER. Collin trained with Ali'i Warriors Fight Club since 2008. Injuring his achilles in 2011, Collin has taken an extensive leave of absent. And is now as our corner one person during our bouts, a tremendous help to our Ali'i Warriors Fight Club.
